Duality of a Death Panel

What is the duality of a Death Panel? A panel that decides whether there will be any gain by giving a patient a 50,000 dollar sugar pill?

Ok so thats pretty extreme but the gray area on this topic starts so quickly. How you ask? Let’s play with a possible future scenario:

Let’s say your Mom has a 1% chance of benefitting from a surgery that costs 50,000. The surgery is very new and was not around just 3 months ago. She will be the 50th person ever to receive a cloned body part. The 33rd attempt was so far the only successful operation but the recipient has gained a significant quality of life due to full mobility from a wheel chair and has even taken up running.

It is to be decided by a government panel.

The Government Panel decides to allow the surgery since all life is precious and the person has provided much to society. Is this panel a Death Panel?

Same scenario but the chance of success is now .02% and the panel decides against the surgery advising that more testing with animal cloning needs to be done first. Is this panel a Death Panel?

So as you can see, it is almost by default that they are a death panel.

So the question I ask again and again is how many of you want to be immortal on earth? How many of you will fight for yourself, or someone else to get that extra day, that extra day of quality life?

How many of you want to be immortal in heaven without duality, but yet strive so hard for that extra day of life in duality? How many of you secretly strive for immortality on earth but claim you do not want it.

I think you can fill in all the other possible scenarios. Even the scenario that saves everyone 20% in taxes on our healthcare. Of course would the government actually reduce taxes? Should they reduce taxes? Or should the saved money from the death squads be used for providing and enhancing the centenarian or the supercentenarian who can no longer work due to job displacement by the robots?
